Can anyone identify this glove? Or maybe have knowledge as to what model Ryan used?

Okay, okay just stop singing! :) I honestly don't know which model it is, but I'll bet it was top of the line. If the photo is from '69, Spalding's top glove was the 42-201 Jim Bunning Personal Model. O/w just check thru your copy of The Catalog Source Book. It has the catalog listings for all his years with the Mets. Mike Wakefield is a big collector of Spaldings from that era and here is a link to his website:

I was actually singing that as I typed it!
I need to pick that Catalogue Source Book up...
Thanks for the heads up on the Bunning model and the link, going to investigate further ;)

You bet. During his time with the Mets (1966-71?) Spalding had top line gloves endorsed by Jim Bouton, Pete Ward, and even his team mate, Jerry Koosman, among others. If you can find out what year the photo is from and pick up a Catalog Source book, I'll bet you'll be able to narrow it down. Good luck!

Found this site, maybe there is a shot of a glove someone can identify until I can get the source book and figure this out!

Ok's right. This is a top of the line Spalding and since it has a solid web (not basket web) it might be 1967-1968 style Bouton/Bunning-endorsed (Rawlings was making the Spalding gloves at this time so it's going to be equivalent to the Rawlings XPG3). Notice it is an open/conventional wrist back which eliminates the Rawlings "fast back" models of the late 1960s. Met's pitchers Seaver, Koosman, Ryan were all Spalding glove endorsers during this period, in fact Koosman got his name on this type glove in the very early 1970s. Ryan and Seaver switched their allegiances to Rawlings later and Ryan notably used the Rawlings PRO 2BF during his later career. The retail equivalent to the PRO 2BF, if you want to get one, is the Pro 6 Rawlings. Hope this helps.

Awesome. Many thanks guys for all the great info!

Regarding his later gloves, I recently scored two:
- An early 80's SPALDING TFK-100C model that Nolan used seemingly for one season. The glove is mint and unused!
- A 1992 Rawlings PRO-2BF, mint and unused!

Here's a couple Nolan Ryan pics. He's using the Spalding TFK-100C glove.

Below is a spalding TFK-110C model I found on ebay. I like the revamped orange/black patch. I read these glove were made for Spalding by Nokona.
