Wayne Terwillinger in the mid 1950's with his Nokona, another quality brand that seemingly didn't get much love from players back then. Looks pretty similar to the Bill Hunter model from JD's gallery.

As a 16 year old, I began a ground up restoration of a 1930 Ford pickup. I eventually worked as a mechanic for a few years before the glamour of that job wore off.

Here's a neat photo of a Chevrolet sponsored baseball team posing with a fancy Chevy coupe with solid wheels and landau bars.

Mike…love the pics of the 1930 Ford you did…still have it?? I’m doing a 1931 right now in memory of my dad. We found the cab together laying in a barn while walking through the woods when I was about 13 or 14 years old. My father got offered it and long story short, we never got it done…but he had gathered a lot of the parts so I’m now completing it. Wish we had years ago…it’s kinda bitter sweet if you know what I mean. Still long way to go, but can’t wait till it’s done!!

Here's the truck in 2019 upgraded with whitewalls and a little worse for the wear. I didn't have room to store it any more. My brother's have it now. Good luck on your project. They're a blast to work on.

That's very cool Mike. Here's Lawrence Boerner with a 1932 model glove during his only year in the big leagues. As far as I know, Spalding's Earle Combs model introduced the Rainey trap web that year. EJ Rainey filed a patent for it the following year.

Fred Caligiuri with an interesting flex-form model, similar to this one from Spalding's 1940 catalog.

The web at the top looks like a Rainey Trap web.

Good eye Mike. Had to go back to the catalog listings on JD's website. Sure enough, it looks more like this Pro-form model.

Johnny Broaca with the Rainey trap in 1939. Spalding and RW&D made similar models. Geo Reach did too, with their Bucky Walters, like the one below courtesy of JD's gallery.

Clyde Castleman with the popular Rainey trap web. Spalding's Dizzy Dean model was top of the line in 1936.

Two players with Wilson's top of the line outward seam model. Catalog photo is from 1948.

Thanks Mike. I was surprised to find them. I don't find many Nokona photo's either, but here's Glenn Mickens with a cool black one.

Some players with Rawlings' Billy Herman model glove; John Grodzicki with the H-web, Marius Russo and family with a custom rolled lace web, and Bob Feller, with a with a glimpse of the D&M G92 that he used early in his career.
