2024 National Sports Collectors Convention

With time moving quickly as it seems to do, just a reminder that the NSCC show will be held in Cleveland from July 24th-28th. I will be set up in booth 643/645 with gloves and some other items. My inventory is not as strong as other years but I do have some nice leather available. If anyone is going, please drop by and say hello. Next summer (2025 in Chicago) will most likely be my last National and since I'll have a kid entering college in 2026, time to sell off some of the collection at that show.

Enjoyed visiting with all the collectors that stopped by the booth last week. I've never seen such as crowd for a National in all the years I've been going. I sold a fair amount of gloves and was able to pick up two really nice ones on the floor, both which have already found their way to the collectors they were destined to be with. The amount of vintage gloves (and equipment in general) was smaller than it has been and I can only see it shrinking even further. There used to be 20-30 dealers that you may find an interesting glove, cool trophy or another nice piece of equipment with. Now that number is about 4-5. When one of those dealers leaves, they are replaced by a table selling shiny, encapsulated cards. There is still a desire for the equipment but no younger dealers picking up the slack. Next year in Chicago will be my last one for a while - can't justify the expense of the show with kids going to college. Hope a bunch of you can make it - would be great to have a big glove party.
