New Modern Glove Discussion Section

Postby vintagebrett » August 17th, 2007, 11:40 am

Hello

From this point forward, please post all discussions about modern glove making, design, etc. in this section.

The original purpose of this forum was to discuss vintage gloves but I know we have a lot of posters on here interested in more modern variations. That is great. Just wanted to separate the threads so people that aren't interested in one variety don't have to dig through the other stuff. Just a result of growth, not punishment or anything.

I'll be moving posts from this section to the new one over the next couple of days - just bear with me.

Thanks for the feedback from the members who suggested I do this - it is appreciated.

Brett, YOU ROCK!

As a modern glove afficianado (a-fishy-knot-o?), I love the "modern" discussions. However, I have come to appreciate true vintage gloves, and now with a split-finger that was my dad's now in my possession, I have a very modest beginning of a collection of true vintage gloves. Now, I can have the best of BOTH worlds! :D
Yes, I still have my first glove.

Hey vintage brett, is a modern glove post 1957 or post USA made (ie Horween and a2000)?

By modern gloves I mean anything within the last 15 to 20 years. Hope that helps.

Modern!

I guess I'm getting old -- my "new" glove, that I use all the time, was purchased new 30 years ago. No point in me even looking at the "Modern" section.
