Beast gloves

I am sure most of you, being the sports fans that we all are, have stumbled upon the article about Laron Landry and his hulk like features.

When I saw the girth of this cats biceps it came to mind that he just might be one of the few that could actually handle THE early thirties stall and dean, factory oiled, Beast of a glove that we all know and love. We know he could easily manage typical gloves such as a ws model. The question is though, could he truly handle THE BEAST? Are there any coaches out there that might know the answer?

I get that I'm a glove nerd but I laughed as hard as I have laughed in a long time when I got to the WS punch-line. That was quite a buildup with the link and all, but it sure delivered for me. Of course, there are only like three of us who get the joke, but the others don't know good humor anyhow (just kidding). Thanks Bert!

Of course, the three of us who get the joke and who have seen the legendary Reach WS glove in person know that the very nice Stall & Deans -- even though they came out a decade later -- look like munchkins next to the WS freak of nature.

I hate to have the facts get in the way of a good tale but I've attached pics of my massive Woodie English, Stall & Dean 8061 top-of-the-line, which normally towers over similar era gloves. Poor guy got all intimaded, though, when I put the ginormous Reach WS behind it (pictured). I had to let it tower over a D&M G92 and Stall & Dean Gehringer for a while to get its confidence back.
