Good Day Fellow, Honest and Overall Enthusiastic Fans of Baseball Gloves,
This post can remain up as long as Brett so allows it to be, however this is in regards to some things I have been noticing over the last few months on ebay and almost as a trend with a few sellers/buyers with in particular. I understand schill bidding goes on and it will never end, however I find some things/items quite odd in regards to prices realized for overall common items. I think we need to have a section in regards to sellers we feel as though "TAINT" the name collectors. I am also an avid Petroleum collector and do restore old gas pumps, our forum leader there started a thread just for this purpose. Letting our concerns be known to those who truly are collectors. First and foremost for those of you that do not know me, my name is Jared Mark and I am known as retro-orter on ebay.
I have slowly been delving into selling over the last few months trying to figure out how to maximize profit in regards to the listing title, pics, layout, etc. Sometimes I am quite suprised with the price some items do or do not bring. I usually start most auctions at 9.99 to avoid extra fees and typically only put reserves on a few items I either hold near and dear or don't want to end up getting screwed royally on. I guess my concerns are with the following as I find this quite odd in all honesty. I recenlty sold the following glove

However you'll notice that I am not the one currently selling it, one thing I should add is that the seller is not the one who purchased this and rather in fact this glove was shipped to GILBERTSVILLE, PA if that rings a bell about a certain powerseller on ebay sounds just like beethoven perhaps... to avoid slander, spelling incorrectly. And also I might add that the buyer doesn't use the name beethoven and uses an alt id to purchase but was rather a womans name whos address just so happened to be his PO BOX. Please someone make sense of this!
I by no means am hear to negatively effect someones source of income, however this sounds very shady to me all in all. These two sellers/buyers are known for their sports memorabilia and sometimes blow the room off of prices... Kind of making sense as of how now. Please give feedback, Brett please delete if you feel necessary; however I know were all in this for the love of the game and this scenario doesn't sound like it at all. May I also go into mentioning that this is not the only glove I have shipped to that address with alt ebay username.
Thanks!
