Glove Stands

Postby gashouse_34 » January 14th, 2010, 3:34 am

Hello, sorry to bother but just wanted to ask if anyone knows of anywhere to get get glove stands(to display your gloves) such as the wooden ones with the 2 pegs? I've googled every which way to find information but am only able to find ones that encapsulate your glove in a glass case. Is it just a thing where everyone makes their own? Or are the stands i've seen used for something else maybe and i'm just not aware? Thanks, Brandon

I don't know where to purchase the wooden ones with dowels, but I have always used plastic ones that either stand by themselves or have wooden bases. I have purchased them from:
Brett Lesan
Precision Innovations
P.O. Box 297
Blue Springs, Mo. 64013
816-224-9165
I haven't bought any in the last few years so I hope he is still in the business. Maybe Joe Phillips would have some additional information.

I recommend Brett's shelf and hanging plastic glove stands. I'm a big user. Brett's a long-time loyal glove collector and we've mentioned and advertised for him in our newsletter. I just got a calendar and note from Brett so he's still in the business. He has a mailer he can send out to you. Great guy!

If you go to a storage-type store, you can pick up metal bookends, which fit nicely into the back of most gloves or mitts.

Thanks a bunch for the info....does Brett have a website or email to get info on his products or is it best just to call his cell? Thanks again, Brandon

I found a Suncoast video store that was going out of business. I bought a bunch of small, hinged stands (like a plate stand) for 50 cents each. They fit into the back of the glove and work great. So you might want to check your area for stores that are closing and see whats available.
