How to use this Site

I would like some help using the system. When I go to the site, I ask to "View posts since last vist". If there have been any, it will show them. Let's say there are six posts. I select one and look at it, and when done I hit the back arrow, and it will read "No topics or post met your search criteria". Then I have to go back to the home page and wade thru them by finding them in each catagory, etc. I have a slow computer so this takes quite awhile.
It use to let me go back and see the six posts and select another one, etc. until I was done. I stay loged in, does this make any differance?
I appreciate the help. Really enjoy the site and your comments/discussions/etc.
I also can't figure out how to enter this into a specific catagory, so no telling which it will go to. Sorry.

When you login to the site, or if you stay logged in, whenever you visit the forum, any new postings since the last time you came, will have an orange page icon showing. Next to the forum, there will be an orange page icon showing that a topic has been added or replied to. When you enter that section, the thread with the new postings will have an orange page next to them. If there are no new postings, all of the page icons will be white.

I will most likely be upgrading the software in December and so this may be a moot point soon.
