a lefty, gorgeous glove, decent box
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=370145021158
It went for $125+
I was thinking a lefty wouldn't go quite that high but with the condition and the box I guess that was reasonable...any thoughts?

I think the seller cost themselves a lot of money listing it in the category they did. If it was listed in the vintage glove category they probably would have doubled their money at least.

seriously? WOW
My boss loved Duke growing up and I was looking at this from a gift stanpoint. I had anticipated a smaller price with it being a lefty. It outpaced my price range.
Good to know
Thanks Brett

I agree with Brett that the glove and box would have done better in the Vintage category. It sat at below $25 for so long that I even put in a half hearted bid ($65) in the off chance that no serious bids were made. Strange things happen on ebay, but it seems really odd that a NM glove and decent box would sit so long without a bid close to its value even given the fact that it was for a LHT. Think the buyer got a super deal!

Snider

The Snider glove and box wasn't categorized well on ebay; I was online every day that week looking for stuff like this and still missed it. Although it went a little low, it's not just that it is a lefty; that model DS5 is the lesser Snider glove in the Rawlings line so the interest from serious collectors has been low. A DS Personal, even a lefty, mint with the box might have brought 5-10X as much. Last, that 60s model box just isn't that interesting after you get one or two.
